TR2/3/3A Lockheed Master Cylinder 56 TR3

My Lockheed cylinder was sleeved (by Whitepost before I bought my car in pieces). As part of my restoration I rebuilt the MC. All was well for a short while, but now MC is leaking (using silicone fluid). Called Whitepost and they were very helpful and willing to tackle rebuild. As soon as I mentioned silicone, there was a longish pause and the usual, we don't recommend silicone. My question is whether anyone is aware of a rebuild kit, or rebuilder, who is able to source durable seals. I am aware that silicone can swell some seals, but if I had been using dot 3 or 4 I'd be looking at an expensive repaint. Anyone with personal experience with Lockheed cylinder rebuild or rebuilder? Open to suggestions, but want to stick with silicone. Cheers, Mike

Try new seals from another vendor is the only suggestuion I can think of. I've had silicone in my XKE for 12 years now witth no problems.

Marvin, that's what I'd like to do. It is just trying to sort out who might have silicone safe seals. Cheers, Mike
