T-Series Location of O/D switch

Can someone please tell me where the O/D switch is located on a '69 B-GT? Pictures would be fantastic, but I guess thats a bit much to ask.

I apologize if this has been asked before... I didn't see it in any of my searches.

Thanks,
Ed

Ed - I have a GT6 with overdrive and it has it's own stalk switch mounted on the column, but looking at the parts page on moss's website

https://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=29070

It looks to me like your's is a dashmounted switch. There are 2 slated for the MGBGT separated by Chassis or Engine number Designations - It shows an "escutcheon" for the overdrive switches which also indicates it's a dashmount - But where on the dash, I have no clue -

Fear not - somebody on the forum will have the answer you require....

On page 65 in the Summer 2004 Victoria Brittish catalog, it shows the overdive switch is part of the wiper switch.
Page 93 in the 02-2004 Moss catalog shows the same thing.

My 69 Roadster had the OD switch built into the wiper switch...pull the stalk back toward you to engage, forward toward the dash to dissengage.

Bruce

Thanks guys

Hi Ed, FWIW, my 69B roadster is the same as Bruce's. But anyway, you finally got a GT? I haven't been paying attention much lately - was it the green one that you posted on several months back? Thanks and good luck. Jim

Actually I am in the process of getting a GT... its a different one in NC. I just found a 69 parts car a week ago and couldn't get under it to find if O/D was equipped, so I thought I would look for the switch. It did, however, have the alloy hood, in perfect condition /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

I can't wait to be the owner of the one in NC though. Expect pictures and many questions

Ed,

The switch will be there whether or not it has an OD tranny...the only way to know is to crawl down there and look!!!
