TR6 Local source for TR6 3-prong oil switch ?

The problem occurred when the key was shut off, it would "click" and cause the battery to drain. It actually made a humming or vibrating noise when this happened. I found this out when I hooked up the charger to dead battery with the key off.

It sounds as if you have the white/brown wire switched with the white/purple wire at the O/P. The colors are too similar and after 30+ years of ageing they become very difficult to differentiate.
I just checked the function of the O/P switch (mine is not back in my car), all you need to do this is a multi meter and a small rod to insert in the opening of the O/P switch to simulate oil pressure, this is what I found.
No oil pressure makes a circuit between the P and S terminals on the switch. This operates the oil light on the dash. During this condition there is no contact between P and I.
When oil pressure is applied there is a circuit between the terminals marked P and I and no circuit between P and S. This is the connection needed for the anti run on valve.
When the key is turned to the off position power is applied to the A/R valve which then flows through the O/P switch to ground. When the oil pressure dissipates the O/P switch opens and turns the A/R valve off.

All of this great info is not going to waste. It's supposed to be near 60 by Saturday, so I hope to get to check the wiring out at that time.
