Local Gearhead in your midst

Our local paper has a Saturday feature on a gearhead in the area. I normally just glance at it. When I saw the tease in tonight paper, it was a picture of four MGs. The person is our own Rick Ingram.

If there is a link available after it is in the paper, I'll post it.

Thanks for the mention, Rich!

My MGB/GT V8 should be in the feature article tomorrow. (I've not seen any advance copy nor pictures). The reporter/photgrapher was here a couple of weeks ago and spent a couple of hours with me. He took a lot of shots as well as some video. It was raining...typical British atmosphere. He seemed more interested in my "car in boxes" (the 1974 MG Midget) than any of the other cars.

Here's the teaser:

Good on you! Hope that they do not pubish your addy. You will have every punter in the area after your lot.

No address published, but I'm easy to find. Champaign County is pretty small....let alone Saint Joseph.

The only car outside is the 1967 MGB/GT parts car. (Even the car-in-boxes fit in the barn.)

The alarm is armed in the barn.

I have scans of today's article; if anyone would like to see them, please e-mail me at mowog1@aol.com and I'll send them off as e-mail attachments.

Additionally......I just got a phonecall from a former patient of mine.

He saw the newspaper article...called to let me know how much he enjoyed the article and video...and to let me know that he owns a 1967 Austin Healey 3000, would I be intererested......

In addition to St. Joe being small a lot of people know about Rick's problem hobbie. I had people telling me about him as soon as they heard I had a Triumph.

Rick,

Does this mean that you'll have an "autograph session"
at MG 2011?
