local car club run on twisty roads

Our local British Car club had a run with the Local Porche Club yesterday on twisty roads from Eugene to Florence for a sea food lunch. Nineteen cars showed up at the meet point, one begged off after being unable to start due to an electrical problem (a porche). My car ran great keeping up with the porches. The only other problem is the bearings seized up on my alternator near the end of the run breaking the fan belt. Good thing I have a TR7 and the water pump is driven off the jackshaft so I had no problems completing the run. I did find out that my car weighs 2600 lbs (weigh station scales) with driver, passenger and half tank of gas. Same as the B's with two passengers.

Sounds like fun, except for the alternator problem! Glad you made it home.
