Little Frogeye
You don't know what I got
Little Frogeye
You don't know what I got

Well I'm not bragging babe so don't put me me down
But I've got the fastest set of wheels in town
When something comes up to me he don't even try
Cause if I had a set of wings man I know she could fly
She's my little Frogeye
You don't know what I got
(My little Frogeye)
(You don't know what I got)

Just a little Frogeye with an A Series mill
But she'll walk a MGB like it's standing still
She's ported and relieved and she's over bored
She'll do a hundred and ten with the top end floored
She's my Little Frogeye
You don't know what I got
(My little Frogeye)
(you don't know what I got)

She's got a competition clutch with the four on the floor
And she purrs like a kitten till the SUs roar
And if that ain't enough to make you flip your lid
There's one more thing, I got the pink slip daddy

And coming round the corners when the flag turns green
Well she blows 'em outta the water like you never seen
I get pushed out of shape and it's hard to steer
When she's laying rubber in all the gears

She's my little Frogeye
You don't know what I got
(My little Frogeye)
(You don't know what I got)
She's my little frogeye
You don't know what I got
(My little Frogeye)
(You don't know what I got)
She's my little Frogeye
You don't know what I got

Sorry but I was listening to the Beach Boys this morning while driving
and I just had to put this on paper
Oldies but goodies

Go for it. My favorite CD is a compilation of Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, and the Ripchords I put together. Little Deuce Coupe album first album I ever bought. Their is a great Best of the Beach Boys Album that is in my CD Player as I write this.

Ah yes. Little Deuce Coupe is part of my road playlist. The usual songs we all know. Had a '66 Goat once sooo...yep Little GTO makes the list. Had a '63 Super Sport once soooo...409....
I love Mabelene by Chuck Berry. Bad thing is even with a 200 watt system w/ boom box ya can't hear it in Mimi when she's belting out her tune.
For some reason I like Bo Diddley with spirited driving.

Good song to go along with Little GTO that never got any airtime SS396 by the Ripcords I believe.

No Paul Revere and the Raiders. How come I don't remember that one from "Where the Action Is!"

Back in 2008 I apparently had a lot of time on my hands here is what I came up with and posted back then:

Sung to the tune of "Hot Rod Lincoln" as sung by Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen

My pappy said "Son, you're gonna make yer Momma Cry
If you don't stop driving that Hot Rod Bugeye"

Have you heard the story of the Brit Road Race
When Midgets and Sprites was settin the Pace?
That story is true, I'm here to say
I was driven that Flyin' A

It's got a Lil' Healey motor that's really souped up
and those little bugeyes make it look like a pup
It's got forced induction and uses it all
It's got overdrive, just won't stall

With a big S.U. carb and high flow exhaust
And four twenty-two gears you can really get lost
It's got safety bars, but I ain't scared
The brakes are good, tires fair.

Pulled out of San Pedro late one night
The moon and the stars was shinin bright
We was driven up Grapevine Hill
Passing cars like they were standin still

All of a sudden in a wink of an eye
A Jaguar sedan passed us by
I said, "Pal, that's a mark for me!"
By then the tail lamps was all you could see.

Now my buddy was ribbin me for being behind
So I thought I'd let the Bugeye unwind
Took my foot off the gas and man alive
I shoved it on up into overdrive

Wound it up to a hundred ten
Twisted the speedometer off at the end
My foot was glued like lead to the floor
That's all there is and there ain't no more

Now, my buddy thought I'd lost my sense
And the telephone poles looked like a picket fence
He said, "Slow down! I see spots!"
The lines on the road just look like dots

Went around a corner and I passed a truck
crossed my fingers just for luck
My fenders was clickin' the guardrail posts
The guy beside me was white as a ghost

Smoke was comin from back of my car
when I started to gain on that Jaguar
Knew I could catch him, I thought I could pass
Don't you know by then we'd be low on gas?

Went around a corner with the tires in a slide
Feel the tension, Man! What a ride.
I said, "Look out boy, I've got a license to fly!"
And that big Cat pulled over and let us by

Now all of the sudden a rod started knockin'
And down in the dips she started rockin'
I looked in my mirror; then let out a big sigh
The cops were after my Hot Rod Bugeye!

They arrested me and they put me in jail
And called my pappy to throw my bail.
And he said, "Son, you're gonna make yer Momma Cry
If you don't stop driving that Hot Rod Bugeye"
