Linux-Ubuntu 15.10

Having trouble installing CentOS. My hard drive is partitioned in two parts and I want to keep it that way, but CentOS wants to format the drive for one full partition, how can I designate it to install on only one partition and keep the second partition as it is? I've tried everything I can think of but it keeps coming up with Automatic partition selected instead of manual. PJ

I've not tried putting CEntOS on a split drive. If I just ~had~ to have two O/S's on the same machine, a separate hard drive and selecting either/or in the BIOS boot order would be my workaround.
