Linux alongside Windows 10

My latest laptop has a solid state hard drive and is very fast. Since I have Linux in an older slower machine, I installed Linux along side W-10. All went fine but, the machine will only boot in W-10 and will not show the grub directory on boot. I tried cold and warm boots, but neither will work, only W-10, any clues? PJ

Did you install W-10 first? If you install linux first then Windows installs its own loader so grub is bypassed.
