Currently having trouble with accelerator linkage on my 73 TR6. Lost the little clip that holds the horizontal shaft to the adjustable shaft. I believe it fell off because of the bad adjustments in the linkage. A LOT of effort was required, pushing down on the bell crank, to get the throttles to open. Not smooth at all. I think the effort required to open the throttles popped the clip off. I plan on tightening up the crank and all those little pivots as it is very sloppy. I also plan on replacing the shaft bushings (has anyone done this successfully with the Moss bushings?). Throttles don't close very well either.
Any advice? Should the linkage move fairly easily? Anyone got pictures of a proper set-up?
