Had the 7 out for a spin this morning and I think the clutch hydraulics finally gave out. Was about 10 miles from home, backed out of a parking space, and when I went to push the clutch in to go into 1st gear, it went down about an inch and that was as far as it would go. Tried several times to no avail. Got her in second gear and was able to get moving, so limped her back home and into the garage. No clue as to if it's the master or slave cylinder or something else. All I know is the reservoir is still full.
 
Unfortunately, that is probably not a hydraulic problem. Might be something broken inside the MC, but my guess is something inside the bellhousing.
 
I agree that this is a mechanical problem, not hydraulic. Outside possibility of impinged linkage, but probably in the bell housing.
