My wife's best friend from high school (so, same age)....her husband had a massive brain bleed and stroke at work Wednesday. Yesterday morning, he crossed the river.
My wife is always after me about diet, exercise, cholesterol, yet these folks were very active, in hiking, mountain bike riding.
I guess when your number is up, there's no arguing.

Pretty hateful stuff, Dave.

Sorry to hear it, Dave.

This morning at Mass, Father asked us to pray for a parishiner who had just been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Of course she is going to undergo extensive radiation and chemo, but it is very aggressive and they don't hold out much hope. Short of an actual miracle, she is going to die fairly soon.

She is ten.

:sorrow: Terrible in both instances

There seems to be so much sadness of late. It certainly is a wake up call to take every day we have. When asked "How are you?" I reply "Well I got out of bed and stood erect this morning, recognized my surroundings so I decided it's a simply grand day!"
