Life is full of lessons

I learned of this last evening, seems the stuff is even impervious to acetone. Good news for anyone doing joinery.

And this person is a school teacher?!?!

...bet that acetone burns...

Trying REAL hard not to laugh here...

I had a friend years ago who lived on a boat in SF bay. He would fish on dock of his boat on nice days for Striped Bass. One day of good fishing he caught three. The Fish & Game stop by and asked how he was doing ( must have been watching from the parking lot ) My friend said very well and showed F&G the three fish. F&G said did you know the limit was two. Well if I did I would not have shown you the fish. $500.00 There must be direction some where. Madflyer

Stripers on the West Coast were all introduced there many years ago from stock on the East Coast. I haven't fished for them in years. Once caught a 22 pounder from my boat - my biggest, although one night fishing off the rocks on Shippan Point, I hooked into one that had to be 40-50 lbs. He took all the line off my reel and disappeared. I had some spare line and just before I had to get off the rocks because the tide was rising, I hooked and landed a 10 pounder. Night fishing is mysterious, especially in salt water where you don't know what may be out there.

And we thank you for them I did night fishing on the Sacramento River for Stripers and Salmon and Catfish. There are also Sturgeons. and when any take your line at night all are a fight. most of my catches were 10-15 pound . Madflyer

Guess she'll get to know what the shaved head look is like....

Yes she will! By the way, congratulations on being the first to post something on the "new" BCF server (migrated to a new server in the wee-hours)

Man, that is a bummer!! Shaving the head is likely the only option, go for the Sinead O'Connor look ... not much else you can do (or wear wigs). I would not want acetone or similar chemicals on my scalp for that long.

Having said, that, boy is this a chance for some viral marketing for Gorilla Glue! Compensate the unfortunate lady for her misfortune, but use the story to tell the strength of the glue. (But then again, I'm an engineer - what do I know about marketing:joyous:smile:
