..... my driveway!

I finally completed the restoration of my 1959 Lambretta Li125.
It is a 125cc with 4-speed transmission. In the next couple of weeks I will be changing engines to increase the size to 175cc.
There are only 3,000 original miles on this scooter. I took it out this morning on its first solo and it performed perfectly!

Very nice!

Though I like you how in the same breath you say that you just completed the restoration, and that now you're going to swap engines. Never done, are we.

I just happen to have a spare 175cc engine... more zoom, zoom

Just needs some more lights and horns! (and maybe a Quadrophenia sticker)

Lights and horns are OK, but this "accessory" is more to my liking

Sweeeeet!

But your wife would kick your a$$

I have to admit, whenever I see a scooter, I either think of Quadraphenia........or the scooter-driving cad in this photo: American Girl in Italy by the American photographer, Ruth Orkin.

Elliot,

You are aware of how high-maintainence
those are?

Please don't tell Don.

I wanted to add one additional photo...
The 1959 is on the left and the 1963 on the right.
Notice on the '59 the headlight is stationary and does not steer when you make turns.

Those are really cool. A British mechanic I worked for for a short time was rebuilding a Lambretta. Nicely built scooters.
Of course, now we all know you're a Mod.
