He's begun the season. Should be a great one for him. I see a lot of "Senna" in that kid. He's gonna be legendary.

Yup! Kids got it down doesn’t he! Starts with the pole position to finish first and 5 & a half seconds between him and second. Stellar performance.

But speaking of second? What about that battle for second between Heidfeld & Rosberg in the closeting laps! Who says there’s no passing in F1!

BTW what a anemic opening for Ferrari? While a lot of vehicles retired – the two Ferrari team cars fell out because of engine problems. Likewise all but one (STR) of the Ferrari powered cars couldn’t finish the race either.

Season's young, weather was HOT. We'll see as the Circus route progresses.

Put me down for a Hamilton/McClaren season.

I gotta get speed channel!

Watchin' it all again as we "speak"!

4:1, Patrick. But it's in *flebs*

...or mebbe CAB's...

First lap melee was downright scary!

Yes and it was very interesting at the end.

Hows bout 10,000 to 1 on Sato?

I'll take flebs

Well, I still haven't sat down to watch what I taped...watched the beginning, then figured I'd better tape it to watch the finish...Feh! gettin' old!

I though Raikkonen showed well for Ferrari in the first half. Gaining 8 positions with a heavy fuel load right in the first couple of laps. Then continuing to move up. The second half he had some issues with getting used to the lack of traction control and then the engine conked out. Shows promise though.

Attrition was huge in that race. The smallest number of cars actually crossing the finish line in quite a while. I think three people got points without evening crossing the finish. Crazy! Looking forward to next weekend. That and visiting a Bugatti restoration shop. One French car that I don't really mind.

Just watched my tape of it after coming home from a dinner with the family. I saw this thread but refused to read it until I saw the race. I hope this year ends better for Hamilton this year than that sad result last year. I have been waiting for him for years, since he was a teen on the cover of AutoWeek.
