Here we go Alan, Just for you.

It was a beautiful sunny day so I decided
to see if the Crypt Car would start. After a while
it finally cranked up.

Oh, BTW Alan, the Crypt Car was a "fully restored"
TR6 when we bought it. I am working on it myself in
my garage by necessity because that's were it broke down last 9 months ago.

Anyway, I was thinking about your 50 mile ride with
it's bad ending. So after the Crypt Car reached
temperature, I headed out of the neighborhood and got
on the expressway. Top down because it will not go up!

One half mile down the highway the blue sky turns black and belches barrels of water onto me and the car. My refurbished wipers work just great, for all of 3 minutes.

Got off at the next exit, drove back in the pouring rain
and got home just as the sun came out.

The life of a TR6 owner is an experience.
My car hates me too. But I'll stare him down.
And your $$ point is probably where I am or
even a little less. But it don't matter.
Stuff happens in life- enjoy what you got,
when you got it, while you got it..

Dale, you're worried about a little rain. You're living in the Garden of Eden. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nopity.gif The car after all, got you back home. That's why the sun came out. That's a good omen. And stop calling it the Crypt Car. It doesn't like that anymore. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonono.gif

Art, actually I found it kinda funny.

This poor car was so abused by the PO it
wants to get in a few punches of it's own.

In a few months when phase II restoration is
completed, we do have a new name picked out.

Stay tuned!! The Crypt Car saga continues.

Nice wax job on the hood. Water beads up nicely after a storm.

I think the Crypt Car needs a gender change!

I think that it needs an attitude change. I said once before that I believe that it was related to "Christine", the happy 58 Plymouth. A distant cousin from across the pond, but related nonetheless.

I am glad to see the crypt car out and about...even if it is in the rain. I've sworn that cars have personalities....especially if you lavish too much time on one car, heck my daily drivers have gotten into that game too!So it's not just an LBC thing.

So-called "fully restored" cars I understand. Disasters foisted upon future owners by a well-meaning (or devious) previous owner I understand. But I'm still trying to figure out why there are expressways in Puerto Rico! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

OH !! Andy, I think Tinster just made a slip of the lip they are really called Carriage Ways.---Keoke- /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

nahhh....those look like real expressways complete with big silver SUV's /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Why does Hawaii have an interstate highway? How do you connect to the next state and where?

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif You mean you don't know about the undersea tunnels?

The real answer though would be because it was built with funding from and during the build up of the Eisenhower Interstate system. Therefore, its an interstate. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/computer.gif
At least that would be my estimation. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The carriageway description would really be a 'Dual' Carriageway, wouldn't it? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
