A Massachusetts high school has had its lights on since August 2021.

The lights have been on at a Massachusetts school for over a year because no one can turn them off

Blame it on the pandemic and "supply chain problems," says the school district's assistant superintendent of finance.

I guess it must be an all or nothing with no individual breakers at least. Can't understand why there isn't something for emergencies at least.

Seems that if the lights were stuck "on" since August of 2021, someone would have noticed the problem, and had the electric supplier put in a power cut-off breaker by now. Even worse, here in southern New England our electric rates are around 40¢/kwh.
