Yes, I've seen that car up close.

I thought it quite interesting that he could take an XPAG engine and get 100 hp out of it without using a blower and keeping it together up to 6500 RPMs. PJ

Yeah, that's a lot of power out of something that started with about 1/3 or that.

I guess, balanced engine plus lots of maintenance (ie-new rod bearings every 10 hours of use or similar).

According to owner Steve Konsin pictured he and Manley Ford have spent a lot of time developing the engines to where they are now. There are a number of fast TD's that run at Schenley but they do use very low final drives--5.8 or something like that.
