I'm thinkin we need to have a major membership drive and see if we could possibly hit the magic 10k by the first of the year! That would be cool! (But would mean a real push to drum up new members).

Why not have a competition to see who can recruit the most new members? You print out the BCF cards, and jot your membership number on the back. Any new member registering enters that number with their personal data so that Basil is able to monitor who referred that new member.

I've been elected to the Board of Directors at my local club. Just this past week I met someone that I signed up & passed along the BCF info. The Guy I got the hardtops from(see thread) will also be joining the MG club and I also told about the BCF. Wish I had cards for either affiliation so could hand them out.

Look under the "Help" menu above - last item. Its set up to print on standard business card stock (10 per sheet) you can get from Office Depot, etc.

I talk up BCF at the Brit car shows that I attend and I just get blank looks. I tell them that it is a great community that covers all sorts of topics from the most basic to very in-depth and that no question is ever considered dumb, but I still get blank looks. I guess that there are too many other LBC'ers who just want to let their professional mechanics have all the fun, while they just go to shows to try and win a prize for work they haven't done and which they have no interest in even trying to understand.

I wonder if the kids with their rice-rockets are more in tune with their cars?
