Leon:

Absolutely.

I've got the DVD.

I think Gary Oldman made that movie. The "Noon" scene where he is standing by the fireplace is gold.

Also have "Tinker, Taylor, Soldier..."

His transformation into Chirchill was astonishing too.

Gary Oldman is one of those actors that just inhabits the part he plays. He's a real joy to watch.

Always fun to watch the “greats”! Thanks for chiming in. I had a “bachelor night “last night – which meant a garlicky gyro, cold CAB, and a great, not-to-deep flick. Next time I’m thinking Ronin! And will watch more Gary Oldman with my wife - she’ll appreciate his skills as well.

I just watched Ronin the other day, another great flick with Jean Reno.

Ronin and Leon are two of those that you just switch to whenever they're on. Doesn't matter what else is on.

In my house the list also includes The Fifth Element and Goodfellas. And when the wife isn't around, The Magnificent Seven (Yul Brenner version).

That ticks off a few of the DVD's in our drawer. (y)

Big fan of Fifth Element but SWMBO must be away. Similarly Mystery Men - Not at all a Ben Stiller fan and don't especially like him in this either but the movie itself is corny (and clever) enough. (I do LOVE Stiller in the Secret Life of Walter Mitty)

My wife hated Fifth Element until we were on a cruise and she had left her "SeaPass" card (all-in-one ID, room key, credit card) in the room once too many. As we were leaving the room next, I said "Where is your MultiPass? Show me your MultiPass!" So now her favorite thing is to hold up her keys (or phone, or whatever she tends to leave behind) and proclaim, "Leeloo Dallas MultiPass!"

It's cuter in person.

Th' 'mits bought the DVD. Loves the flik. Many times on opening the microwave I'll hear her exclaim: "CHIC-ON!!"

I've taken to telling people I'm a meat popsicle if they ask what my pronouns are.

I always know what my wife is having for dinner... "CHIC-ON, GOOOOOD!"

Last night MGMNetwork reminded me that Support Your Local Sherriff! is also on the list.
"Well Sherriff, I guess you know what you're doing."
"I don't know what I ever could have said to give you that idea."
