MGB Length of MGB oil stick for 1971

I have a friend who has a 1971 MGB which is showing too much oil after an oil change with the amount of oil as listed in the manual. The dipstick she has is chrome, so may be aftermarket. So does anyone have one close that you can measure from the bottom to the flange???
