I am contemplating replacing the gas filler cap on my 77 B with he Le Mans style cap. Hoefully it would allow easier fuel fill-ups and look a whole lot better. Any one ever take this on? Thanks in advance...

This is what I have on Ms. Triss. I bought a cheap inexpensive one off ebay. Works, great, doesn't seal but that is fine for ventilation. I did have to grind the flange off the fuel pipe to make it fit. I love the look

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

This looks good. Did it fit the filler neck without modification? I have a 77 B with the rubber hose and obviously a metal filler neck.
No - I had to modify the neck, that was the flange I had to grind off.

That is a bargain one! Enots and other brands are the type I am referring to.
If it works and you like it, then it’s prefect!!

Another option is the cap used briefly on the TR 250 - it is magnetic which means that if it ever does open it will close itself again.
