Left my key on for 5 hours and wont start, UGG!!!!!!

Rolling again!!!

Just fired it up, got on the road and after 5 min and all the fuel i dumped in went away, she picked right up and cruised like a BIG HEALEY!!!Ill post a go-pro and let ya'll join me around the lake here in Southern NH.

Big thanks to Doug and Steve!! Couldnt have figured it out without you guys pointing, and some spare parts

Thats my big lesson, spares on some critical items like that keeps us on the road for the 4th!!

Leaving my key on cost 1 coil, ignition, cap, and a dropped/cracked phone....

Happy Independence Day!!!

Kkaa - your Healey is independent of the tyranny of being rooted in one spot!

Thats the truth! We bought ours about 10yrs ago, took it down to the last nut and as a family project. The kids and I rebuilt the entire thing ourselves with a trusty shop manual and this awesome forum...

This is a couple weeks back and will post a new one. She gets about 5-10k miles a year now!!

HA, aint that the truth!!

Now I can start to work on what cause this to begin with, brake lights not working properly... I have a fast flash when the drivers side is on, all lights blink...

Any ideas my friend???

Examine each bulb. Make sure they are all the same type and Wattage. If the bulbs are not the same total Wattage on each side then one side will flash at a different rate than the other.

However, you might want to start a new thread to get new eyes on this problem since this problem is not really related to this thread's title.

EDIT: Sorry, re-reading your post I realize I interpreted the flashing lights problem as flasher related, not brake circuit related.

The diaphragm brake light switch is known to fail. Short the two leads to the switch and see if your lights come on (recommend you disconnect the circuit to the Ignitor first).
