LED Turn Signals

New LED 1157 bulbs for rear lights. Do I need ballast resistors or an electronic flasher - or both? This is for a negative-ground BT7.
What happens if I put LEDs in the front lights - more resistors?

I had to put ballast resistors on mine when I put LEDs in back. I put them on the Flasher Relay terminals 3 & 7 to ground. As for changing the flasher, see if the old one works. I ended up changing mine to an electronic one, but not the one usually sold, because I didn't change the front lights. The fronts are light enough and they look better if the color temperature is the same as the headlights.

I put in an electronic flasher and all the lights work fine, No resistors.

Either or. LEDs don't draw enough current to activate a std., 'normal' flasher unit (note LED running/stop lights work without either on a BJ8). If I was to do this, I'd probably go with the SS flasher.

I took the line of least resistance (pun intended) and used an electronic flasher with these on my BN1:

Previous experience with installing LED turn signals/brake lights and running lights with resistors was the proverbial pain and using the electronic flasher instead was a no brainer....

I installed both front and rear LED lights in the running/turn/brake lights and kept The original flasher relay . Everything works perfectly.
