I know that this may be heresy to many of you but my buddy is/has converted his 54 100 parking and turn signal lights to LED.
However, I understand that for the bulbs to flash properly a compatible flasher relay is required.

Has any one added a hidden LED flasher relay, while keeping the stock flasher relay??
Interested in how you wired this set up
 
Not sure about changing out the relay, but you can add a resistor for each bulb so that the original flasher relay functions properly. They can be found where the LED bulbs are for sale. Ask your buddy how he addressed it.
 
I just had both the lights and reflectors on my BN-7 converted to LED bulbs. With more and more distracted drivers everywhere I felt the added visibility offset any compromise of originality. Reflectors look normal until brakes are applied. Allen Hendrix at Hendrix Wire Wheel in Greensboro, NC did the work. You might check out his website for further details and even call him to inquire regarding how he handles the various details. He is a great supporter of the Healey Marque.

I decided I needed LED lighting, but did not want to add resistors (More complexity, heat, and connections) to the circuits. I went with the electronic LED flasher which works perfectly, see below.
