I have got a leaking valve cover problem I just can't seem to beat. I've replaced the valve cover gasket 3 times, the last time with one of the silicone rubber gaskets and I just can't seem to get the darn thing to stop spraying oil all over everything. I've got one of those nice chrome plated thingys with knurled cover nuts. Should I go back to an original (this was an original that was just chromed) and put another gasket on? If so, what kind of gasket should I use (cork or rubber?).
Last question, what temp thermostat should I be using for the winter up here in central Pennsylvania. It gets pretty cold.
