MGB Leak at Rt. Rear Wheel

With the GT stored away in Townsend, I brought the Tourer into the garage from my shop building and noticed a leak at the right rear wheel. Thought I had an oil seal go bad on me, but when I pulled the drum... BRAKE FLUID! And lots of it!. Had not checked the M/C reservoir, and sure enough, the rear chamber was just about dry.

Parts are ordered. Gonna do both sides.

Always sumpin'!

Well, Retirement has started! :highly_amused:

Got that right!

What a thoughtful MG -- knew you were retiring, and wanted to make sure you had something to do with all that spare time.

My brother and I were talking the last few days. Says he wants a project instead of a runner. Just something to keep his hand in the garage, and asked me my thoughts on an mgb. I laughed.

 I fired up our B Saturday morning. After a long period of dormancy. Needed a new battery and cleaning of the points. After that we'll see what else has atrophied. Rear brakes seem a bit "funny" so I'll start there.

Pulled the errant wheel cylinder yesterday. YUCK! Unbelievable crud in there. My guess is it's a result of sitting idle for so long. Just one more reminder to DRIVE these things!

New bits due in tomorrow.
