Hello,

Does anyone know of an upgrade part (urethane, delrin, etc.) for the "Silent Bloc" bush on the front eye of the leaf spring, suitable for general road use? Seems like only the rear eye has urethane bushes available.

Regards,

Walter

I don't know if there is an upgrade available but that bushing is not a silent bloc. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. It is simply the old tried and true spring bushing, steel inside and out. The originals last for decades and work fine, unlike the steering silent bloc. Tom

Thanks. Tom. I had heard it referred to as such but wondered myself how it could be the same as the steering piece. I am restoring my car and using polyurethane bushings where I can for durability. It is good to know that the original style leaf bushing in this case is long lasting.

Regards,

Walter

I agree with Tom, those bushes show no wear. I received two new bushes with a project I bought. I decided to not use them as the original ones on the springs are just fine. No need to go to the work to change out a part that is still fully functional.
