leaf spring replacement

hi,

will be replacing the driver's rear leaf spring on my '73 b in the coming weeks. other than buying the new spring, what other things should i replace around that area? i was told the shackle pin bushings and limiting straps. any other advice on additional parts and installation are greatly appreciated.

thanks for the quick responses. actually the passenger rear was replaced just before i purchased the vehicle 4 years ago. i don't know why both weren't replaced @ the same time. haven't driven her much in those 4 years. proabably put on not more than 700 miles. poly bushings are definitely on the list.

I would replace both sides as a matched pair.
Get new bushings and mounting pags. Poly is good, especially for the mounting pads.

Rebound straps would probably be a good idea too.
 
2nd that, Baxter. Besides once you have done one you are just getting good at it. Otherwise you will end up with driver's side higher than the passenger side and different performance, side to side.
