The Fire Chief's Wife in our department needs to figure
out why her LE quits running after a little while.
Her husband work on the fuel & evaporative emission
system on her car,& now has problems with it.
Does anyone have a diagram on how it goes together?

See my article, Fuel Delivery Troubleshooting Guide at: https://www.mgexperience.net/article/fuel-tsg.html for some generic help with the problem. It sounds like the tank is not venting properly. This can be confirmed by removing the filler cap from the tank and see if the stalling problem goes away. The tank vent on the later MGBs (LE included) is through a pipe from the top or side of the tank that goes into the trunk area to the vapor seperation canister on the side of the fender well and from the canister via another pipe to the charcoal canister in the engine compartment. the pipe from the vapor seperation canister and the charcoal canister has a union part way along it that has a nasty habit of rusting shut, clogging the vent to the tank. this results in a vacuum being developed in the tank that stops the fuel from being pumped out of it tot he carburetors.
Cheers,
