Aston Martin Owners Club TO HOST THE 2009 LE MANS START HD BROADCAST AT THE CINEMA SALEM
Salem, Mass
HD BROADCAST SATURDAY 8:30 – NOON, JUNE 13
DOORS OPEN AT 8:00AM
BREAKFAST AVAILABLE IN CINEMA CAFÉ
2009 marks the 50th anniversary of the Aston Martin 1-2 finish, with Salvadori and Shelby winning the 1959 Le Mans outright, and securing the World Sportscar Championship for David Brown and the legendary DBR1.
Aston Martin has a new prototype racer this year, co-developed with Lola, with which they will contest the LMP1 category for a potential overall win.
Although we might all prefer to be in Le Sarthe to commemorate this event, Boston-area residents will have the next best thing: An exclusive, HD broadcast of the starting hours on the big screen.
All car clubs, motorheads and race fans are welcome to attend. Participation is strictly limited to the first 100 reservations received by Thursday, June 11.
Admission is $15, available by pre-booking only, via check, cash, money order or PayPal, made out to the AMOC (Aston Martin Owners Club) and sent to the following address:
Attn:Aston Martin Owners Club
Don Rose
37 Warren Street
Salem, MA 01970
PayPal to 007@donrose. com)
There is a massive municipal parking lot across the street from the street entrance to the theatre; doors open at 8:00AM.
