Le Mans Kit and Louvered Bonnet Sources

Hello all,

I recently purchased a great BN1, living in the Texas heat, I want to install a louvered bonnet as the car runs a touch hot in the summer. While I'm at it, it seems reasonable to add a Lemams Kit...

What is the consensus as to the best source for the Lemans Bonnet...Kilmartin in Australia?.

As far as the engine kit... The car already has a Dennis Welsh top end as well as a DW M cam, so all I need are the carbs and the cold air box.

Who should I buy from?. Many thanks in advance.

Join the Healey Club in your area. They have a lot of knowledge on "heat" in Texas.
 
Not sure I'd go with the cold air box. I hear you sometimes get dust in TX, and the original cold air box setup had no air filter. I put a K&N conical filter on the end of the inlet duct for our 100M, but it's not a particularly slick installation (I made a bracket/cradle for the duct that's screwed to the top of the steering box, and it's safety wired to the hose clamp on the duct). Plus, the cold air box is a real PITA to remove and install if you need to work on the carbs.

There once was a fellow that dyno'd and raced a 100, and he claimed velocity stacks produced more power than the cold air box, which requires air to make a sharp 90deg turn into the carbs.
