I just had my TR6 painted & would like peoples opinion on different Car Covers for outside use.
Thanx as always... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/england.gif

I bought a generic cover from Wal Mart for $60. It came with a 10 year warranty. I doubt that it will last that long but it's keeping the junk off the car.

The best car cover for new or old paint would be a garage. Depending on how old your paint is, I wouldn't cover it until the paint is fully cured.
The Kimberley Clarke breathable covers are nice and hold up well to the elements. I bought their cloth cover which didn't hold up as well.
When covering outside, expect light scratching of the paint regardless of the type of cover.

i had posted a similar question a couple of weeks ago in the car care section, you may want to look there for comments-
i had been surprised at the amount of water passing through my rather expensive cover that used the "block-it" technology - advice back was basically around how much you want to trade off breathability vs increased resistance to rain - for me, I'll be ordering one of the weathershield covers to block a bit more rain - at least until i can convince my neighbor to let me squeeze in a garage between our propeerties...
Cheers,

I agree with the garage method.
The majority of the time when I'm covering it outside, will be primarily for dust, pollen & debris.
I try to avoid bringing the car out when there's a chance of rain. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thirsty.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/england.gif
