There is finally some hope my very dead TR250/6
may yet see life on the street and move out of
it's museum crypt in my garage.
Original cause of death was destroyed carbs and no wire
harness.I did some research on carb restoration and found
Jeff Palya in Ohio as highly recommended.
So with Mr. Bentley's help, I yanked the twin carbs and
sent them to Jeff. They arrived back to me 2 weeks ago.
I then ordered new bolts, nuts, gaskets, etc. and with
the kind technical advice of the many good folks here,
last night I managed to install the new carbs.
Photo attached.
Now everyone here knows that old Tinster knows just about
nothing about about auto repairs. But I try to share my
lame attempts when something I try seems to succeed.
Here are some photos of how a know-nothing rookie changed
out twin carbs and the intake manifold. I apologize in
advance to the site experts for my clumbsy work.(But it
ain't half-assed by any stretch!! just clumbsy)
