MGA Layshaft bearings

I need to install a new lay shaft in my MGA tranny and was wondering if there has been any problems with the new caged roller bearings that only have half as many rollers as original. Your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks and have a good day!

John

That transmission is almost identical internally to the MGB early three-synchro one. We've put the caged layshaft bearings in a few of those. So-far, no issues with them.

John,
You have asked your question at a very opportune time. We will be releasing OE rollers for the MGA/Early MGB as early as today. We will offer the rollers with a more appropriate kit with distance tube and I believe circlips.
I am attaching a link to an Informational Document that will be posted when the kits are released. Today we have 25 kits on hand but no rollers by themselves as we used our initial supply in the kits which should be the popular option.
Hope this helps you in your search. If you wish to order you can give our sales team a call. I don't think these are on the web, yet.
