up-dated my nav database

Finally got around to updating the database for my navigation system.

I know I wouldn't need to do that if I used web based navigation apps, but I like having locally hosted nav.

Using your phone for nav eats into your data budget (and I ain't pay'n for unlimited data). Plus, they go dark in areas with poor cell coverage.

I prefer to stick with an autonomous system.

Here's the database update:

Copper infrastructure may prove to be the savior of civility... if we can recall how it WORKS.

The universe is a strange and dangerous place. Warm up yer abacus!! :smirk:

Re: up-dated my nav database

I still use my Rand McNally road atlas from 92 for any road trips I plan. I've never really used my phone for navigation.

Re: up-dated my nav database

I was always fascinated by maps. I used to enjoy just looking over maps of places I'd never visited...imagining what it must be like there.

My wife could never read a map. Finally, on a trip across the state I taught her how as she followed along as we passed each town and intersection. Shortly after that we got a Garmin
