I know some of you are on some of the "other" sites as well so for you this is not new info but....
I finally got back to work on the TR6. Last year was a bit of a mess for all of us but for me (truck driver) I was busier than ever with work.
I put the body back on the (almost finished) frame and fitted the doors, hood, trunk and fenders (or doors, wings, bonnet and boot if you prefer). I got all of the gaps looking pretty good. On the finished chassis I have made a couple of mistakes and have to go back and fix them. The rear brake backing plates got switched. The left on right and the right on the left. Whoops, I'll get it. Secondly, I didn't realize that the throwout bearing sits in a carrier. I assembled it without the carrier. Bear in mind I didn't take this car apart and have never worked on one of these before now. And lastly the fan belt is too wide. It's the one I got in all of the boxes of parts.
I also found out just how much bend there is in the original frame. The original is pretty solid but the left side front frame rail is bent upwards 1 1/1 inches (3.81 cm).
I am going to use the original frame as a support for the body while I do my bodywork. Now that I know how much and where the issue is with the original I can work around it.
The left floor pan, inner and outer sill, right outer sill and the backs of the B-Pillars will be replaced. Also, the lower rear inner valance panel.
This is pretty new territory for me as I am much more of a mechanic than a bodyman, but I am ok with stepping out of my comfort zone.
Thanks for looking!

Bravo! Feels so good to get a project moving along - and what a professional job you're doing. Really looks great.

What are your plans for interior, paint job, etc.?

Tom M.
PS - You've given me a severe case of "garage envy".

Thank you.

At this point I am thinking of White for the exterior. I believe the car was White because when I removed the dash pad and the dash it was white underneath. I doubt someone would have gone so far as to remove the dash components for just a respray. Although my wife really likes the Mallard Blue as well.
I own a set of seats for the car but nothing more so the interior is wide open. I am thinking New Tan Leather but also kicking around the idea of Matador Red.

"Although my wife really likes the Mallard Blue as well".
I would not be too worried about the car's original colour.
You now the saying..."A happy wife is a happy life" :p :p

I would like to keep the color at least one of the original available colors.
I'm not looking to build a Concourse car just a damned nice driver.
It's getting a few "upgrades". Electric fan, 65 Amp alternator, new wiring and relays.
The factory engine fan is on in the pics because at the time I wasn't doing the electric fan. But I have since purchased an electric fan, new radiator and the fan eliminator kit.
