So, couldn't sleep last night so came down to watch some TV. Was channel surfing and on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network, APTN they had a show called Rez Rides. I've seen this show before, it's about a body shop called (I think) the Mad Mohawk located in the Mohawk Territories east of Kingston, Ontario. It's kind of a VERY low budget Chop Cut Rebuild or something like that.

Anyway, last night the guys are welding on the rear end of a car and I think to myself, that behind looks familiar, sure enough, they are working on a Midget.

Sadly I didn't get the back story, partly cause the show is ongoing and also because I had the volume off so as not to disturb other family members. Anyway, they had the car in 2 pieces - trunk and cowl - and were fitting it onto a homemade frame square steel frame. They seemed to manage to get everything sort of lined up, but on the other hand it was clear to me at least that they had no idea what they were doing. They were sure hacking off a lot of metal leading me t suspect a new engine.

Anyone else know anything about the project? I've tried searching some but with no luck.
 
Yes, that's it and there are a few other things but nothing about the project. Funnily, they list a website at the end of the show but its dead (I think www.rezrides.com)
 
What I'm amazed about is that you actually have an Aboriginal Peoples Television Network.

I don't watch TV, but that actually might interest me.

They just don't have the content - so, infomercials and reruns and frankly like many niche specialty channels, the in-house content can be a little too earnest.

Was ther some kind of "exchange" program where y'all sent the cajuns to us and Austrailia sent Aboriginese to you?

Someone had to send a boat load. You can't sing your way to Canada, at least not from there. Talk about going walkabout !!!

I like those little fellas...they are rumored to taste like chicken.

Here in the Olde Worlde we have Gaelic and Welsh broadcasting too... some of the programmes would be interesting if I could only understand what was being said....

I suppose I could start with the childrens' cartoons and programmes and work my way up....

I have a friend who taught himself spanish by watching cartoons and then moving to the telenovelas.
