Late 60's Mini racing in Quebec

Hi folks,

I'm poking around to see if anyone in the forum was racing Mini's in the late 60's in the Quebec area (or may know someone who was). My dad was really into racing them at the time (before he moved back to Australia).

Cheers!

Hi Jody
I have one of those early Ontario race cars sitting in my barn. Not sure who raced it back in the day but I know from the the old stickers on the roll bar that it was late 60's.

Cheers

Mark

Do they still race Mini's in Quebec, or any small cars for that matter? I am hoping to emmigrate to QC in 3-4 years and am looking for some cheap motorsport I can do there. Or is it all skidoo's???????? fnar!

Hey, Thanks for the replies.. Apparently my watch on this forum didn't stick so I didn't see the replies.

Mark, that's a neat find you've got there. I've been fighting the itch to pick up a Mini. As small as they may be, I doubt I could hide it from the wife (unless it fits in one of her shoe boxes that she's always hiding from me).

Derek, I'm afraid my Dad's no longer with us. I was looking through some old slides of his and ran across his Minis, thus the question. My favorite slide of the bunch is one that has a red, a white, and a blue mini all parked in a row. In handwriting on the back of the slide it says, "all three go in excess of 125 mph"
