Naw, we didn’t have any problems here – we’re way too far south. My sister lives a little further north and should have felt it according to the reports. But she didn’t even know about it until I called to ask how she was doing.

Anyway Californians (native born or adoptive) are a funny lot. Earthquakes, fires and civil unrest most of us roll with it. But have someone light a cigarette in a public place and we come un-glued. I’m not a smoker, but I do think its kind’a funny what upsets folks and what we are easy with.

I always tease my daughter, the lawyer, about her being born in California...tell her that's where she gets her "bubble-headedness"....she was born while we were stationed at the presidio of Monterrey
 
Hey Gang,

Tis the season! Well the last two months have been extremely busy, between work & getting ready for the holidays. So much so that I have been feeling seriously guilty about neglecting my car.

Luckily last Sunday the weather here (San Diego CA) saw a change for the better and was rather nice (60s). Reading all the posts in protest by my fellow BCF members up North about having to put away their LBCs for the winter inspired me to pull my B out of the garage and used it for some “local” running around.

Regardless of the fact that it hadn’t been driven in about 6 or 7 weeks she turned over and warmed up without any bemoaning on her part. Prudence of course dictated a good walk around prior to hitting the road – I didn’t perform any adjustments. Staying away from the main thoroughfares, malls & major shopping centers. It turned out to be a great afternoon and early evening.

The only real problem encountered besides having to re-set my in-dash analog clock, was tucking the old gal away again in the garage.

If I don’t get another chance between now and then – I’ll have to make sure to take her out again for my Birthday in January.

I know what you mean. My TR3 has been sitting patiently in the garage, and I've been waiting for a decent (60's and no rain) day to take it out. Maybe next week...

By the way, I imagine you are far enough south not to have noticed yesterday's 'quake. Hope no one got shook too badly.

We had a warm evening here last night too...about 50 degrees before the rain...and I was ready to pull the radiator to begin the winter projects and decided to take Clementine out for one more spin for the year...

Alas, a dead battery

Same weather here. About 50 degrees (F) yesterday, with rain today. The Spridget is apart for it's "Winter-Rebuild", but I took the Miata out, top-down. And I saw two seperate Honda S2000s running top down also. I suspect they were both Christmas presents! (I hardly ever see an S2000 running top-down, even in the Summer).
Alas, the only Brit-roadsters I've seen lately are my own.
