Lasers to Replace Spark Plugs...

Won't be me, that's for sure.

Sounds like a lot of hooey to me. Your ordinary, garden variety spark is already roughly the same temperature as the surface of the sun, so even if a laser could get hotter than that, it doesn't seem likely to help.

"Ignite at two points simultaneously" ... dual spark systems have only been around for 100 years or so without showing any particular advantages in economy or power. They are used primarily for high reliability engines, like aircraft piston engines.
