My Compaq laptop touch pad settings no longer work since installing W-7. The scroll features don't work and I can't shut it off, which I like to do when typing. It's on all the time, even when using an external mouse. I tried downloading a new driver, but that didn't work either. I have driver detective and it doesn't pick up on the missing or out of date touch pad driver. Any clues? PJ

My guess is that your touch pad drivers aren't compatible with Win7. Strange, but I can't think of any other reason. Maybe call Compaq and see if they plan to release a patch.

Thanks Steve, I'll give them a call. I had another problem once before with my wireless connection and they logged in to my computer and fixed everything on line. PJ
