celebration at Lake of the Ozarks!! Pre-registrations
are rolling in more frequently! There are still some hotel rooms left but there may not be much longer! Don't panic though... there are a number of other hotels nearby. Still, the area is extremely popular for vacationers so don't delay getting your reservation! Our special room rate is guaranteed through May 23rd, 2008. Thereafter, the rate goes up and we will no longer be able to assure that you have a room in the event headquarters hotel - Inn at Grand Glaize <https://www.innatgrandglaize.com>. Call now to
hold your room... 1-800-348-4731

We have just ordered a Limited Edition Cloisonne and Gold Plate Grille Badge<https://www.starrtech.net/% Ejimj/50th/50yearsspridgetlogo.JPG>!!
Check out the artists concept and .pdf order form for this beautiful badge<https://www.starrtech.net/%7Ejimj/50th/grille_badge.pdf>!
We only ordered 75 so once they are gone, chances are slim we could get more made up in time for the event! We'll also soon add a link from the website index page allowing you to purchase online for pick-up at the registration desk in Missouri! For those who have already registered, just download the PDF file <https://www.starrtech.net/~jimj/50th/grille_badge.pdf>, print it,
fill it in and mail to the address on the form.

************************************
Event T-shirts are being prepared. These T-shirts are included (one per) in your $50 pre-registration fee and you are going to love them! Don't forget to put your shirt size on your online pre-registration form<https://www.Sprite-MidgetClub.org/registration.html>so we know what size to have waiting for you! We missed getting shirt sizes for a few of you who pre-registered early on... Please take a look at your registration confirmation email and see if a T-Shirt size is listed. If it isn't, send your shirt size to us at SpriteMidgetClub@gmail.com

**Banquet Menu!
**We are fortunate to have a 5 star chef on staff at the Inn at Grand Glaize! From the menu possibilities offered by Chef, we selected the following Entrees which will be accompanied by traditional presentations of vegetables, etc.:

** 1. Baked Northwest Salmon with Tarragon Butter*

* 2. Hand Made Chicken Cordon Bleu*

* 3. Roasted Pork Tenderloin with Apple Brandy Sauce

***************************************
We've ordered a very nice keg of special beer for the hospitality area! Its a great place to lounge and swap Spridget lies so polish up your best stories! We'll be playing all the hit tunes of 1958 and there will be some very interesting Spridget jigsaw puzzles for those with sharp eyes and nimble fingers! We might even do some special awards for the best "Spridget Tale" so get creative!

***************************************
**If you plan to compete in the autocross, you will want to bring your own Snell 2000 helmet with you. Also, there will be a nominal entrance fee for this event to help cover insurance and other costs.

*************************************
**So, who's already registered??
**Glad you asked!! While there are a large number of rooms already reserved at the hotel, the list of those who have already paid their registration fee, ordered their T-Shirt, ordered their BBQ and their Banquet meal is smaller. To see if there is someone you know check the Rouge's Gallery<https://www.starrtech.net/%7Ejimj/50th/who.html>! Oh! And don't forget to thank our sponsors and donors<https://www.starrtech.net/% Ejimj/50th/sponsors.html>
!

I'm getting closer. I will expecting to tag my midget and do some shake down driving withing the next month or two. I orginally put in for vacation, but now I am thinking I might need a little more time. I don't know if the wife will be willing to ride in the midget for 800 miles all in one day. She is funny that way. As the time gets closer I will get it all sorted out. I can't wait to test out the new gearing. If it goes well, I might be able to make pretty good time. Still a long drive and many things could happen. I will be hauling many spares and tools and things, but it might be nice to meet up and travel with someone else that is heading that way, just in case. Still over 3 months away and I made the hotel reservations a while back. I know I wrote that resv. number down somewhere but I can't remember where.

I would luv to go. The wife is up for it, but I got called away to work. I can't make money out of town and finish up the Shealey at the same time. If I can't make it, we still talked about a Route 66 trip later in the year.
