Hey al

Ok,

I am on vacation with a sloowww connection and I het the key without knowing it..sorry!

So here is what I wanted to post. I managed to convince my wife that we should tow the Bugeye on our vacation and race the VSCDA Chicago races on our way to camp! I raced in a pretty good sized group 2 and I will get video posted in a few weeks. Here is the fun though...in my 4th race of my new hobby, I qualified 12th out of 25 cars and finished up in 8th place! We raced the South circuit and my best time was a 1:53.7. Fastest lap was by a MGA of 1:49.2. I ended up 1st in class...(948 motor) and beat a Bobsy racer, Volvo 122-S, sevaral mini's, Healey 3000's, Volvo 1800s and Datsun 510. The car ran just great!

I will head to VSCDA's Grattan races mid August next. Between this and finishing 4th in the rain at the SVRA Mid-Ohio races last month I am really having a blast right now! If you want to have fun, get a Bugeye! I am still running the 1-1/8" carbs but may look into moving up to the allowed 1-1/4" carbs next if I can get Hap to do them?

Hap?
