Knock-Off Hub bearings - Can they be removed?

I took the old knock-off hubs, along with the freshly powder-coated five-bolt hubs to replace them, to a machine shop; but their manager maintains that these bearings cannot be removed without being destroyed... Is this true?
I'm not rebuilding any part of this IRS unit, so would rather not pay $130 for only these two bearings - just re-use the old ones.

That sounds like a lot of $'s for bearings. Get the number of of the outer race and any bearing supplier should be able to match it. Bearings, ball and taper are a standard size, forget the Jaguar part and go with the bearing part number.
