Hypothetical here - and no I am not going to buy it BUT look anyway

Discussion Starter - pretty much every single one of these cars looks obviously fake when complete - the proportions are wrong, the sound (VW) is wrong fit and finish etc etc etc

BUT

what if you had one like this to start with? Could you make it work? On a Spitfire Chassis? Front engine? RWD? I genuinely don't know but can't help but feel that somehow you could make something interesting.

thoughts?

That one's already sold - you buy it after all? :jester:

When I was in my twenties, I wanted to do a TD kit. Never did and now I'm glad I didn't. That said, I would do a Victor TF in a heartbeat, and there are a few others I might be tempted to do. Those Jag SS kits just don't do it for me, regardless of the engine choice. Same with the Mercedes SSK kits.

I was weaned on VW's, and I've recently wished I still had the '63 sunroof (last year for the full vinyl ones) and the '64 Ghia convertible I had way back when. The engine sounds can be "tamed" and I must admit I still like hearing one done right.

Mickey, I kinda like the sound of herself's Super Beetle. Sure would like to find a Karman Ghia to go with it. Oh wait. I already have more projects than I can do.
