I just finished a multi-year rebuild of a 71 Triumph Daytona (Motorcycle), and also just retired, so I was looking for a new project. A stroll to the garage turned this up:

It's a '74 I bought in about '76, and it's been in the garage since about '81. I'm doing engine tear-down right now:

I'm pretty sure I'm going to need some help and guidance along the way from experienced people here.

Welcome, Ed!

Looks like you've a good start. Looking forward to hearing your progress.

Looks like you're on your way to a "new" car! I've been down that road as have others here, so ask away when something comes up.

Good luck with the rebuild. I have a '74 as well, currently slumbering, so I'll be following your posts with interest.

How many miles on that engine?

Pity about the fender rust....

ed, Good luck and you seem to have a good start. What about the MGA parked beside it?

Good luck with the rebuild, and retirement. Is that an MGA off to the right?

Thanks, guys. The MGA is next, but probably too far down the road to think about right now.
