Took it out on a run today - about 30 miles...man, it loves 80mph!....just gotta button up the console (& figure out where the couple of loose wires inside there go...oh, its got 87,000 original miles on it!

We won't tell anybody what that sweet riding/running little thing is, will we? Man, its like driving a Corvette! hehehehe

LOL! I'm sure a few have figured out, buy I'm not saying til it's in my driveway - and I'll update my signature picture. Just fixed a really nice Kenwood stereo that I'm gonna put into it too.

Great news! Thanks! Coming to get it shouldn't be more than a week or 2 away now. Julie's gonna take a thursday or friday off so we cona come pick her up.

Oh, I looked in the box - new top is cloth

Excellent! I already have installation instructions for it too. 87,000 miles... that's less than any of my cars!

AHEM!!! This is th' "pink wire"?!?!

If so, AWRIGHT Kenny! It's got legs like a gazelle...

We'll "talk".

I figured out you knew what car it was during the wiring diagram posts Doc! And yeah, that's the one. One other person here knows 'cause I told him a week or so ago in a private chat.

It's feeling like the week before christmas to me! I can't wait! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Maahvelus! Glad it's goin 'to a good home.

But but, why would you want one of those?

'k Jack... keep it up...

Everyone should have at least ONE in their lifetime.

But but, if you had one you would kinda have to drive it and be seen in it wouldn't ya?

gawd...

<Doc knows he's gonna regret this>

*yes* Jack, one would think so...

hmmmm... lessee here... drives like a Corvette... has a cloth top... why would anyone want one... yet everone should have at least one in their life time... to drive it is to be seen in it; whether or not you want to be seen in it I might add. It has a pink wire... it's possibly little... it loves to go 80MPH... Doc knows a bit about the wiring in it...

it's not a late model Lotus Elan (late 80s/early 90s variant)... is it? Or a late model (80s) Alfa Romeo Spider?

hehehehehe - I'm not tellin yet!

Pinto Convertible with a 350 shoe-horned under the hood?

Actually it's a Chevette convertible with a ford Cammer! Nothing like the cheapest car GM ever made combined with possibly the most expesive engine ford ever made! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

It has tilt steering, but the torque-steer is gonna take some getting used to. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Ever seen sideways chassis twist?

can I have my leg back?/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

mehheh... "cut th' PINK wire!"

My MG even had a pink wire up until I got my new hazard switch the other day... It was jumping the connector so my signals would work. Bad thing is, it was hanging under the dash when I got the car. You should've seen me studying it and wiring diagrams (for about 3 hours!) trying to figure out where it went... Then I pulled it, and it was just up there. PO had it as a ground for light inside the aftermarket switch he used to replace the Headlight switch... But it had fallen loose on it's own before I got the car.

..it DOES have TWO camshafts, yes. A true "Hemi". Elegant.

Chevette with a SawzAll top-down modification... hmmm.

Pink wire in an LBC.... lemme think..... ummm....
