General TR Kastner Cup 2013 - who's going?

Ok, a little early perhaps - but are any BCFers going to Elkhart Lake WI this year for the the Kastner Cup?

After missing out on a few Triumph related events this year, I just couldn't miss this one so have purchased some plane tickets for my wife and me. Too time consuming to drive from Houston in a TR unfortunately.

Anybody else contemplating it? And more importantly, anybody have a spare co-pilot seat needing me to sit in it for any touring events?:eagerness:

I'll be making the trip to Elkhart Lake next month for the ALMS sports car race. Maybe next year I'll attend one of the big vintage weekends.

I hope to go although I'd probably take the VW for a place to sleep. That would however eliminate me from the Elkhart Lake Road Course Re-enactment. It takes you on the same road course that Briggs Cunningham, Phil Hill and Carroll Shelby raced in the early 50's. Finish line is in town with a car show after. It would be fun to take the TR. But I'll let you know either way Randy.

I am considering it, not real likely, but will see if I can make it work, about a 600 mile drive each way for me, have done it in a TR4A a couple times and a couple times in a Healey 100, never in the TR250, at least not yet, sounds like a neat deal for the TRs this year.

Doubt it.

Too far of a tow and too close to the SCCA Runoffs for our crew.

I really wish they would run more Northeast events, but the FOT "crew" seems to be adverse to SVRA events unfortunately, so it's either super early in the year, or late which conflicts with other big events.

Mosport is next year I believe, but crossing the border still complicates things (a SCCA racer had problems coming across the border this past weekend) and it's still not a short tow, even for those already in the NE. They need to come back to VIR or NJMP... that will draw NE racers and SE racers.

From The PNW, will be Mike Mehl (TR4), Bill Babcock (peyote), Bill Hart (Devin TR) and The TR250K.

THERE IS SPACE FOR 2 MORE CARS!!

In the past few years, we have traveled from Seattle to Watkins Glen, Hallett, Atlanta and this year is RA to attend the K cup races. no complaints here

Absolutely Tony - I'm getting in as TR250K overcrew with the VSCDA signup deal, so how can I not! Other than having a big grin on my face most of the time I promise not to get in the way.
