Since most British car owners are retired, why do they
always seem to have events only on weekends?
I almost always work weekends,so I can't make it to
most events.I'm talking about drives,etc.

Because the young people we are trying to impress work during the week?

Actually, we have been having our regional Austin Healey shows during the week so we get better hotel rates.

I've wondered the same thing, as I work on weekends too.

Nearly every public event in New England is scheduled on weekends, so there's immense competition for audiences. Does AARP only have weekend events?

Sure seems logical that car shows could be during the week!

Always worked on weekends too, and went fishing during the day off in the week. All the clubs asked if I was coming to the show or rally or get together, but had to work. Now, retired and still can't get to a show. One car on jack stands, another on cart (for blasting) third in a storgae lockup. Daily drivers in garage next to the first two. Boat needs carbs checked and RV dewinterized. Seems I had more time working.
