Just swithched to Haggerty insurance

I finally decided to get my car fully insured. I chose Haggerty. Of course, I haven't had any claims yet, but so far they seem to have very good customer service. I also put my ST spoiler on a few weeks ago, finally, and here's how it looks. I put a 5" MG decal on the ST spoiler, right in the center, but its white on white so it really looks like a raised feature of the spoiler. I got it off of ebay for a few bucks.

How long did it take to get the cards after the paperwork was done?
 
Don't know yet-just did it today. Was waiting for my old policy to expire.
 
I'm in the process of switching FROM Haggerty the way it looks.

Anyone with multiple cars, what's the best company to go with, unlimited miles, etc? I have gotten much better price quotes from other companies.
 
I have four MGs insured by Grundy Worldwide. They gave me the best quote and had the best options to suit my needs.

- Unlimited mileage
- Full coverage
- Agreed Value Compensation
- No inspection necessary, just send photos

The requirements are:

- Must keep car in a locked garage
- Pleasure driving only (no business, shopping, etc)
- Must have another vehicle as primary vehicle
- No young drivers (forgot the age limit)

They are pretty flexible on the "pleasure driving" thing. I told the guy I drive a lot and may want to stop and shop while I'm out. He said it's fine and that the rules are only there to cover them against people who abuse the system. He said I can even drive to work so long as I'm not using it for business or driving there every day. I have not filed a claim nor do I hope to do so but so far I am very happy with the friendly service.

My daily driver MGB GT is insured through AAA on a regular car policy.

I'm using AON insurance for my Bugeye. Agreed value, unlimited miles, needs to be garaged and need to have 1 other car per driver. Minimum premium is $100/year. That covered my Bugeye and my old TR4 for the brief period I had both. Not had a claim, but their service otherwise has been good.

I just priced ACI, AON, Grundy and Hagerty:

Hagerty, $5000 on Emma, $15,000 on Binabox = $189
Grundy, $7000 on Emma, $15,000 on Binabox = $192
ACI, $7000 on Emma, $15,000 on Binabox = $181 (or $170 with a $250 deductible)
AON, $7000 on Emma, $15,000 on Binabox = $108
 
They probably don't blow a lot of money on advertising. It's the only one there I've never heard of.
 
USAA - liability/uninsured only - only way to go on fleet prices!
 
I've got Allstate Liability only on all my cars, and full cover on the toyota - at least until it's paid off.
 
AON has a minimum of $100 annual. When I checked there last summer for Emma, the price was $100 for $4000 agreed value. When I checked for Binabox, it was $100 for $10,000 coverage. Now when I check both, combined value of $22,000 it tells me $108. I may check into that company a little closer.
 
What does a person do when they have more vehicles than garage space? I kind of switch them around and the ones that are left outside have car covers on them. I'm still with GEICO and we pay a small fortune in premiums /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
 
We have my car, Chuck's truck, 2 MGs and a boat. And a 2 car garage. Right now Emma and the boat share the garage. When Binabox is done, I'm afraid Emma's going out under a car cover until October when the boat goes back into storage.

Na, check ALL of those links above for prices on your little cars. I'm betting you can get a much better deal. It was by far CHEAPER for us to go through collector's insurance rather than our automobile policy.
 
I was wondering how bad it would be if you flat out lied because you don't even have a garage. All my cars are weather cars.

(and I know Tony, about the canvas ones - just no money for such at the moment)

Actually, I've been looking closely at the aluminum carports for under $700 that I could add a few sides to on my own pretty cheaply.
 
FWIW, I use Hagerty. Always helpful, (3 tows a year!) but I havn't had a claim. They will even fax, or e-mail cards as soon as payment is made. They have agreed value and accept photos. I thought $350/year for $45k value was ok, but I'm going to check other companies next year.
 
Just for reference.... I pay on average... about $45 a ~month~ for liability ~only~ coverage (on each of them - meaning about $130 a month for all - not counting the toyota full coverage) on my 3 "liability only" cars. That includes the 1977 MGB, the 1984 Alfa Spider, and the 1993 Eagle Talon.
